Kye Petersen & egrave; a star of the snow that began making ski movies & Outdoors; et & agrave; 14 years in 2004 with the debut WSKI 106, and since then it & egrave; pi & ugrave; stopped. In his career he shot with Teton Gravity Research and Sherpas Cinema, winning four Powder Awards. In 2012 he went on to win several awards for his presence in All.I.Can, Sherpas Cinema. What & rsquo; & egrave; l & rsquo; inspiration behind In Search? L & rsquo; basic idea was to create a personal project, a full video. & Egrave; the first time I l & rsquo; occasion because in the past I have always made of the fragments that are left in entering the project to someone else. Even in my collaboration with Sherpas Cinema & egrave; always steamed to shoot scenes for a couple of years with them, and then select the 20 or 25% of the footing for a film, leaving a lot of new material. What can we expect from this film? In In Search I wanted to show what I normally do when I go skiing for the fun. I got tired of the race to jump from the cliff pi & ugrave; up or to trick more & ugrave; difficult. I want to find a & rsquo; harmony and skiing on untouched and unknown territories. Descend from the top to the valley flying, engage the public and show what & egrave; fun. & Egrave; That's what I try.
So the title In Search, & ldquo; & rdquo ;, looking stems from this concept. Where & egrave; It was shot? Last spring I found several interesting and unexplored areas right around the area of ​​the house. Whole Movie & egrave; It was filmed in British Columbia and Alaska and offers just what & egrave; my standard season in search of fun and virgin areas. In pi & ugrave; I did a & rsquo; output in the chain of Mount Waddington, a remote part of British Columbia, by adding a p & ograve; adventure at all.
Tell us about this experience We flew there and established a base camp from which there muovavamo to ski during the day. We were hit by a huge snowstorm followed by two days of sunshine. The second day I skied a line on Mount Shend, probably the most & ugrave; steep of my life. It was only the second time I was skiing by someone and it is definitely the peak of my last season.
