The magic of the Freeride World Tour continues to Freebird (USA) between March 5 and l1

The season progresses, and so the Freeride World Tour now in its fourth stage of the 2014. The best freeride skiers and snowboarders in the world will compete on powdery snow Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort in Utah, United States, at the beginning of March.

The stage was initially planned for Kirkwood, always in the USA, but because of the lack of snow, the organizers have decided to move it to Freebird and thus ensure a better quality of competition and safety for athletes. The competition will take place in a time window between 1 and 5 March, depending on weather conditions, and fans around the world will be able to look at it and live free from www.freerideworldtour.com. Thus, we stay tuned for 9:30 am local time, 5:30 am here with us in Italy. Though it was not the first choice of the organizers, the area of ​​Snowbird, part of the Wasatch mountain range, is well known in the freeride heavy snowfall every year, and the whitening for the various competitions already hosted in the past. It is not a joke: in the U.S. locations beginning of the year are in fact dropped a total of nearly 6 feet of snow and the snowpack currently has a height of 2.4 meters. It is also the home resort to several participants, as the skier Oakley White-Allen and four of the eight snowboarders who take part in the event: Shannan Yates, Laura Dewey, Laura Hadar and Kaitlin Elliott. After the stop in Snowbird, the Freeride World Tour will travel to Canada in the popular area of ​​Revelstoke, March 10.
