The skicross season already has a queen, or rather two: after the world title won by Sandra Naeslund, it is Fanny Smith who conquers the World Cup, the third in the career of a champion of this discipline.
The Swiss ended the games prematurely, triumphing today in Bakuriani's match; on the Georgian snows, which next week will also host a double appointment with regard to snowboard cross, Smith beat Naeslund with a great comeback, with Marielle Berger Sabbatel completing the podium.
Among the men, however, the victory went to the German Florian Wilmsmann, who beat the Swedish David Mobaerg and a pair of Canadians, with Jared Schmidt third and Brady Leman at the foot of the podium. There were no Azzurri present, as well as Sunday in the unprecedented team test that will close the three days of Bakuriani.
