Goldwin launches an outerwear package for SS21 made with a new nano fiber fabric

Goldwin's Element Jacket and Fast Shell Jacket are among the few garments in the world to use Pertex® Shield Air, an extremely waterproof but breathable fabric.

The Japanese outdoor brand Goldwin, reconfirming its commitment to continuous research and innovation, presents two outerwear in fabric made with nano fibers for Spring Summer 2021: the Element Jacket and the Fast Shell Jacket. Designed for high intensity activities and in humid conditions, both exceptionally protective, waterproof and breathable, they were developed in the Goldwin Tech Lab, the advanced R&D facility founded in 2017 in Toyama to strengthen the capacity for technological innovation and to develop new products, combining human intuitions with artificial intelligence and cutting-edge technologies. Among the first garments in the world made using Pertex® Shield Air, a waterproof membrane produced with a special processing that has a multilayer structure in nano fibers, the Element Jacket has been designed for specific use in adverse weather conditions, guaranteeing maximum ventilation of the warm air and preventing sweat without weighing it down with additional layers. The nano fiber membrane is composed of a multilayer structure film with countless holes that allow you to maintain breathability without losing impermeability. The jacket is heat-sealed for added protection, with a durable yet incredibly soft outer material; The design of the model has a relaxed fit and the minimal use of seams ensures optimal mobility, with internal pocket and chest pockets open for ventilation. It is undoubtedly the most versatile shell Goldwin has ever created. The Fast Shell Jacket has been designed for running on rainy and humid days, to solve the problem of internal sweating that can cause sensations of cold and wet: thanks to its total breathability, Pertex® Shield Air allows you to combine external waterproofing maximum comfort and dry feeling inside. The design and stretch fabric offer exceptional mobility. A large back pocket also doubles as a ventilation channel, the adjustable hood helps protect against wind and rain and, when not worn, the garment folds into a small bag. For the launch, Goldwin collaborated with the London design studio Systems Studio to create two highly immersive videos that explore the symbiosis between the scientific world of technology and the magical world of nature and how outdoor clothing can unite the two worlds.
