Atomic Redster 130: the first contact on the snow

continued our journey to discover dlel'Atomic Redster 130, the first mass-produced boots to have carbon inserts, this is our field test, which occurred during testing of the Pool Ski in Italy Pampeago .

The first impression, even when hooked attacks and tight hooks, is of great comfort of the shoe Austrian. The materials of the shoe is soft and chewy at the right point, and especially the tongue is very comfortable, so that from the very first curve you are at ease and shins have no discomfort.

The first feelings you have skiing are those of naturally be prosthesis later, and to be well supported at the tongue of the boot. However the angle of inclination of the cuff is the classic and has not been changed, and here it feels the first innovation of the carbon on the back. Backwards is not impossible, but it is much harder than other boots.
Keep the correct location and nature is in fact much more easily.
The edge grip and lateral grip of the boot is very high, the result of a good summary of the plastic and the shape of the hull, however, we could expect more. Other models in fact, classic in the realization, reach the same result.
What seems rather more convincing is the inversion phase, one where you start to relax the constraints created by the ankle to move to the next curve: in this situation the pulses are transmitted very quickly and seems to be " pulled up "from the boot.
To conclude on a positive note about the flex. At the nominally dry flex index of 130 we had seemed much softer than some competitors and Atomic same a few years ago, but the snow was detected centratissimo flex for skiers from medium to robust body sizes and have very good technique. The boot
during bending has never yielded, indeed, he did appreciate the gradualness of flex without tearing.
