On the presentation evening held in Sestriere in the Hotel Principe di Piemonte, the Amer Sports group after the change of ownership on 4 September 2019, passing to a Chinese / Canadian consortium led by Anta Sports, presents the ambitious three-year development plan for the its Brands, where the strategies of Amer Sports are confirmed, confirming the management team and aiming for a strong growth plan where it will try to confirm first of all the leadership in the Alpine skiing field, as the second objective of Nordic skiing, to the third confirm the growth as Snowboard manufacturer currently 2nd manufacturer in the world and not least strengthening and expanding in the Protections sector (Helmets and ski goggles), and finally a rationalization of the number of E-tailers, I would say a lot of objections not bad !!!
But let's get to the news Fabio Furlanis - Salomon presents us the Autumn / Winter 2020 collection with new technological updates in the entire S / Race ski range on the track, the new S / Pro Hw ski boot, while in the mountain the new Stance line (available in 90, 96 and 102 mm widths) alongside the new Shift Pro boot also available in a women's version, they offer the same versatility and comfort as the men's range, but with a slightly different construction.
The S / Race ski is dedicated to those looking for a ski and a high-end race plate. Built to guarantee rapid acceleration and greater agility, this ski is a real adrenaline machine. Edge Amplifier technology has been redesigned to ensure better grip on the edges, for easier cornering never seen before. Perfect for speeding on the most demanding slalom tracks, but also for enjoying a quiet descent on your favorite slopes. The S / Race ski also offers greater flex and responsiveness for perfect curves. Wooden core, race insole, two titanium layers and a sandwich construction with sidewall along the entire length make up the structure of the ski, a guarantee of power and agility at the same time.
The S / Pro HV ski boot also allows those with the widest soles to try the legendary Salomon S / Pro fit. It was developed to maintain the performance and fit offered by the beloved S / Pro and to adapt to a different morphology thanks to its 102 mm shape.
The new Stance all mountain ski collection is available in three models of different widths: Stance 90, Stance 96 and Stance 102.
Salomon has equipped the Stance with a titanium laminate above the core and, taking advantage of its know-how in the field of materials science, has enriched it with reinforcements with patented C / FX technology in carbon and basalt. This combination offers the stability and power of a traditional ski together with the maneuverability and the ability to absorb the vibrations of a much more agile ski. In essence, Salomon has combined the characteristics of two worlds: a giant ski soul with adherence of the edges from the world of alpine skiing competitions and maneuverability and tolerance obtained from years of development of freeride products.
Stance 90 dedicated to those who want to give their best every day on the track (and even outside) in any imaginable condition.
From curves at full speed on a beaten track, to bumps on unpaved slopes or in the trees, it is the perfect tool for all mountain lovers.
Stance 96, the medium-width ski in the range, offers exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and smooth control at any speed.
Stance 102 the widest ski in the Stance range, the Stance 102 is a directional ski designed to face any challenge on the track with your head held high.
The Stance women's all mountain ski range offers the same versatility as the men's Stance range, but with a slightly different construction. A wooden core composed of Karuba and poplar makes the Stance 88 and Stance 94 for women lighter than the men's versions.
Stance 88 for women is the narrowest ski in the female Stance range, and offers
maneuverability both for zigzagging between trees and for drawing curves on compact snow.
Stance 94 is an all mountain ripper with a race pedigree, a light, resistant ski, capable of absorbing vibrations and instilling safety regardless of speed, terrain and in all conditions.
Designed for skiers who love to dart through the still immaculate powder snow, but also appreciate occasional ascents, the new Shift Pro four-hook boot with 100 mm plant width, customizable easy fit and anatomically designed seamless shoe combines stability and power of a real alpine ski boot with the versatility of a ski touring boot, to allow you to enjoy the mountain in all its facets.
In the women's version it mirrors the S / PRO 100 mm boot and thanks to these characteristics, combined with a softer Sensifit insert, the boot wraps the foot anatomically ensuring an extremely easy fit. The Coreframe insert offers improved ground feedback and power transmission for sensational downhill performance. Weighing only 1.63 kg, the Shift Pro is light enough for ascent, while the Surelock mechanism and walking mode increase the mobility of the cuff. Integrated technical inserts help ensure direct power transmission.
