Freeride news for the Blizzard 2018

Blizzard, after the successes of the Quattro series, confirms the track range, but completely re-updates the freeride-backountry and allmountain with new construction and new freeski projects.

Blizzard points to the freeride market and the American market is right: it is one of the best-selling and best performing brands, winning the Freeride World Tour twice a quarter. The technicians have found that in the last few years the market has been very segmented, going for skiing, on the one hand, purely freeride, but accessible to everyone, on the other hand, rather the most allmountain. Under the latter look is the new Brahma and Bonafide, respectively 88 and 98mm in the center. The new construction is called flipcore and has the peculiarity that all the materials are preformed before entering the mold so that the correct rocker and camber is predefined on all the materials that make up the skis and not "stressed" later. The structure is composed Of two layers of titanal over the entire length of the skis and the third layer under the foot to give greater control over the track. In particular, Brahma and Bonafide were approached to the concept of skiing on the track with a shorter radius (17 mt) And flat tail, so that they are simpler on the track. As for the freeride, we find three new models, all with a new construction, which has been improved in the backcountry: every ski is much lighter than the past, up to 300gr for lighter rod. The structure consists of five different woods and A titanal soul, material placed above the foot, tapering away toward tip and tail. The latter are lighter for a better and easier skiing buoyancy. In order to avoid punching and tip, unidirectional carbon reinforcements have been inserted, so that torsional forces are absorbed. The freeride range also adapts to track use, with radius below 20mt. In the three skiers of the range, the Spur has an extra touch. It is inspired by the surfboards: the lateral thickness has been increased for increased bend support and redesigned the toe and tail rocker to have a true float even at low speeds. In addition, the crawling is asymmetrical: inside there is a radius of 30mt and an external 26mt, so as to facilitate the curve even to the neophyte of the freeride.
