The One Way brand, under the historic Fischer Sports company since 2018, will make its entry into the alpine ski poles market, attending for the first time at the FIS Alpine World Cup circuit with a wide range of models for track skiing, ski touring and freeride: a range of premium poles that will become a must-have for all alpine skiers.
According to Severin Lehner, Head of One Way, the decision to participate in alpine skiing competitions one year after the launch of the collection was a conscious choice. “We wanted to take the time to make sure our products were competitive against other brands at the World Cup,” says Lehner. "We are now confident that we will be able to convince skiers to use our equipment thanks to their exceptional performance."
Special slalom specialist from Switzerland Daniel Yule is thrilled to be joining the One Way Race Team. "I got to try out the equipment last spring and it was really good," said Yule. “The deciding factor, however, was that the feedback I provided was heard immediately and, as a skier, this is the most important thing. Collaborating with a brand that is committed to improving is essential. Even though One Way is a young brand in the field of alpine skiing, it is very motivated and wants to have an impact on the market, and this is its greatest strength ".
According to Severin Lehner, entering alpine skiing is a commitment that will bring innovation to that market segment. "The collaboration is mutually beneficial: athletes will see their needs met, and ONE WAY will be able to count on some of the best skiers in the world."
In addition to slalom specialist Daniel Yule, Spaniards Joaquim Salarich and Juan del Campo will also be present at next winter's World Cup with One Way poles. This event marks the beginning of One Way's bond with professional alpine skiing. The brand aims to achieve the same level of performance in this sector as the already well-known Nordic Ski One Way Race Team, which counts Quentin Fillon Maillet, French athlete winner of the Biathlon World Cup, among its ranks.
Products that will be presented at the Alpine Ski World Cup:
RD 16 SL Pro
The RD 16 SL PRO slalom stick allows athletes to cross every curve: designed for competitions, it is extremely stable and composed of a particular mix of materials suitable to avoid shocks during contact with the goals in the race. The upper part of the shaft is made of aluminum, while the lower part is made of a mixture of carbon and aramid. The ergonomic non-slip Ergo Grip Pro guarantees a secure grip at every turn.
RD 16 GS Pro
When stopping at the start, the only thought in mind is to finish first, and the RD GS Pro stick is here for that. The Real Race shaft is made of Calu, a material that combines the strength of aluminum with the lightness of carbon, making this stick with an aerodynamic shape extremely stable. Ergo Grip Pro, ONE WAY's ergonomic anti-slip, guarantees a secure grip even at high speeds.
