Ski Bootsseason 2022/23
BOA has been present in mountaineering since 2011. In these ten years the company founded in 2001 by Gary Hammerslag has seen an increasing number of brands that have decided to equip their Touring boots with the characteristic wheel closure. Scarpa was the first company to believe it, followed by Fischer, Atomic and today also La Sportiva and Salomon.

With 11 years of experience in mountaineering, BOA® Fit System has established itself in high-end ski touring boots - from super light carbon racing boots to models designed for climbs or descents, to boots suitable for multiple occasions . BOA® Fit System offers a precise and adjustable fit to improve reactivity and control from one edge to the other of the boot, thus offering excellent performance. This allows mountaineers to close the boot quickly and is easy to adjust during activity: for example a more relaxed fit when climbing and a tighter fit when descending, while wearing gloves or with cold fingers.
BOA collaborates with partner brands from the beginning of the design phase, making sure that the BOA® Fit System is perfectly integrated into the boot. The result: by turning the BOA wheel, the shell moves thus closing the boot without deforming it and allowing the parts of the shell to wrap around the foot.
This winter, mountaineers will find the new ski-mountaineering models integrated with the BOA® Fit System of the La Sportiva and Salomon brands. Both brands have already collaborated in the past with BOA for their footwear. In its collections La Sportiva presents different models of mountaineering shoes and also various super-performing trail running models that adopt the BOA system. Salomon, on the other hand, offers a wide range of snowboard boots equipped with the BOA® Fit System.
