Difficult situation for Norwegian cross-country skiing: after the positivity of a coach of the men's team, Arild Monsen, which emerged on Monday, this morning the news of the positivity of Heidi Weng and Anne Kalvaa arrived.
The Norwegian team should have left these days for China, but this unexpected situation forces the norge to inevitably postpone the departure for the Olympic event. This morning a press conference was called by the national team doctor Oytstein Andersen: "This is a painful situation for the whole team: Heidi and Anne have done everything possible not to get infected; fortunately they are asymptomatic, it remains to be seen if they will succeed. to negativize within a few days, so as to be able to leave for China ".
The Norwegian team, both male and female, is currently on the Alpe di Siusi and is staying at the Hotel Steger Dellai, to better prepare for the Olympic appointment, taking advantage of the altitude and the characteristics of the 'plateau of the Sciliar; this inconvenience seriously risks jeopardizing and ruining a maniacal preparation directed towards Beijing by the Norwegian team, which began last summer.
Fear also for the other elements of the Norwegian team: Taugboel, Valnes and Golberg have expressed their perplexity that the entire Norwegian expedition will be able to leave for China. Fears also in Russia, since the men's and women's teams were staying in the same hotel as the Norwegians.
