In a race that turns into an elimination test in the last polygon, the German wins the first Olympic medal of her career in Biathlon and paints it Gold.

A day in which shooting ranges didn't seem to be a factor, the last shooting session digs heavy hierarchies.
The judicious Denise Hermann (0-0-1-0) is imposed who enters the club of athletes medalized in two different disciplines after the Bronze in the 2014 Sochi Cross Country Relay. Federica Sanfilippo (0-2-1-2) closes at 5.56.6 while a disconcerting Lisa Vittozzi (5-1-2-0) relives her ghosts in the first session with a 0-5 and closes at 8.44.4
