Fischnaller's first Olympic podium, 8 years after Zoeggeler: his words and emotions, with the now forgotten mockery of PyeongChang 2018.

Dominik Fischnaller won a thick bronze in the men's singles, with a series of solid heats that always kept him in the podium area. With the bad memory of the previous Olympics, when he lost the medal by just 2 thousandths, the blue champion was able to keep his nerves in the last descent, crowning a goal that Italy in sledding was missing from Armin's third place Zoeggeler, now its technical director, in Sochi 2014.
After the award ceremony, Dominik released his hot statements to Rai, expressing his great joy for the goal achieved: "This medal has so much value after 4 years, I missed very little in the last Games". And the thoughts also go to his cousin Kevin, who due to Covid a few hours before the Olympic test had to raise the white flag abdicating his dreams of glory: "They were hard days with Kevin's positivity, I hope he will recover soon, this medal is also for him. I dedicate it to my family, but also to me for these four years where I have never given up ”, said Fischnaller.
