Here is the first blue medal at the Beijing Paralympics: silver Bertagnolli-Ravelli in super-g

Only the British Simpsons precede the Italian couple formed by the Trentino champion and the guide Andrea Ravelli. It is the fifth career medal for the blue flag bearer.

At PyeongChang 2018 he won four medals, of which gold, together with the historic guide Fabrizio Casal. Giacomo Bertagnolli's journey in Beijing 2022, the second Paralympic edition for the very young Trentino who is already a symbol of an entire movement and, not surprisingly, was nominated standard-bearer in these Games, started off on the right foot together with his guide Andrea Ravelli. Sixth downhill, the two Azzurri placed silver in the super-g of the visually impaired category, staged this morning on the snows of Yanqing, the first medal of the Italian expedition to China. Only the British Neil and Andrew Simpson were faster than Bertagnolli-Ravelli, who in turn preceded the Austrians Aigner-Fleischmann.
