A fabulous fifth place, in the first historic final of an Italian specialist in snowboard slopestyle at the Games.
Emiliano Lauzi is the great protagonist of the first race of the day, not too far from a possible extraordinary Olympic podium; the Valle d'Aosta of Milanese origins was even second after the first run, with a score of 80.01 pt which remained so after the second and third attempts, with some errors that prevented the blue from fighting for the top 3 too, however too far away from what is "combined" up there by Max Parrot, gold medal at 90.96 pt for a splendid story, that of the Canadian champion recovered from cancer.
The phenomenal 17-year-old Chinese Yiming Su and compatriot Mark McMorris were beaten, to whom the last run was "only" enough for the bronze medal.
On the other hand, Silvia Bertagna's adventure in freeskiing big air in Beijing 2022 ended in the qualifying phase. so that the blue did not start at the beginning of the third heat. First virtual place, at the end of the three qualifying runs, for the Canadian Megan Oldham followed by the French Tess Ledeux and the Russian Anastasia Tatalina.
