Four blues ready to try, in a men's snowboard cross where Italy is looking for that medal that Michela Moioli failed to bring home.
The qualification saw Eliot Grondin, one of the big favorites, placing the best time with Alessandro Haemmerle fourth but, next to the best, there is also Omar Visintin who on the Zhangjiakou track was second in the first World Cup race of the season and is returned after his injury in Montafon, last week in Cortina. The South Tyrolean finishes sixth and finishes in the lower part of the round of 16 draw, while in the upper part and with a possible very tough quarter-final with Grondin and Bolton, here is the second blue striker Lorenzo Sommariva, ninth in qualifying.
A first phase that served, in fact, to establish only the positions for the final round, with Tommaso Leoni who finished nineteenth and will have to contend with the Austrians Dusek and Pachner in the second round (not a simple combination), always in the lower part of the board as Filippo Ferrari.
