The 24th edition of the Olympic Winter Games has officially begun, 48 hours ahead of the opening ceremony scheduled for Friday.
It is the curling tournament, in this specific case that of the mixed doubles on its second five-circle adventure after the debut of PyeongChang 2018, that inaugurated Beijing 2022 with the first four games scheduled. And there was no shortage of surprises, with the Czech Republic beating a comeback and at the extra end Norway 7-6, the same score was enough for the host China to beat Switzerland. Great Britain won 9-5 over Sweden, the United States in a daring way over Australia 6-5.
And in a few hours it will be the Azzurri's turn, with Amos Mosaner and Stefania Constantini on the ice to challenge the Americans first, Thursday from 2.05 am Italian time (live on Eurosport 1 / Eurosport Player), then the Swiss in the match scheduled at 7.05 am.
Today there was also the first day of official training for sleds in the Yanqing facility, with Dominik and Kevin Fischnaller immediately fast, while tomorrow morning (4.00 the go) will be the time of the first test of the men's descent, with Dominik Paris, Christof Innerhofer and Matteo Marsaglia on the track.
