The Italy of curling, after two days of the Olympic mixed doubles tournament, remains the only nation undefeated in the round robin. A status that places Stefania Constantini and Amos Mosaner in a very good position in view of the next match with Australia (Saturday from 7.05 Italian time). The Azzurri couple today beat Norway and the Czech Republic: “I think that winning with such a large score is a good boost of confidence for the next five races, it is certainly very important to see us first. Today we expressed ourselves at our best, ”Mosaner told Rai.
Stefania Constantini also released her words at the end of the match at the FISG. “Two victories that were needed, really important to continue the Olympics well. Against Norway, after a somewhat strange start, we held out in a match with mistakes on both sides ”. The Ampezzo then commented on the easy victory against the Czech Republic: "Against them we played our best match so far of the tournament, with a solid performance, managing to put pressure on the opponents and staying incisors always keeping the edge. Now we need to stay focused to give our best also in the next challenges ”, closed Constantini confident of the imminent future.
The current situation bodes well; against Australia, bottom of the group, a potential victory tomorrow would give very good hopes of being able to reach the semifinals. With the toughest games on paper against Sweden, Canada and Great Britain, China would be the other affordable opponent to sanction a historic turn.
