The team event won by Wunderteam completed the alpine skiing program in Beijing 2022: 5 titles in an extraordinary Switzerland, one each for France, Sweden and Slovakia. The words of the winners, capable of mocking Germany by a whisker.

The third title is that of the team, after Matthias Mayer in super-g and Johannes Strolz in combined.
Austria greeted an edition of the Olympic Games in line with expectations, winning the team event with a thrill, just think of that last challenge with Johannes Strolz, who lost the stick at the start leaving the field free to Alexander Schmid (who would probably have won the direct match anyway), risking losing the gold medal which, instead, went to the Wunderteam for just 19 cents.
The 2-2 final was not enough for the Germans, for the sum of the Austrian title times after the silver in the same format at PyeongChang 2018, behind the Switzerland that today was instead eliminated in the quarter-finals, but which triumphs in the medal table overall of alpine skiing in Beijing 2022.
Five gold medals for the Swiss (never anyone like them in history), with five champions like Feuz, Odermatt, Gut-Behrami, Suter and Gisin (and Wendy Holdener has again close to the title, with silver and bronze between combined and slalom), against the 3 of the Austrians and the seal of France, with Noel in slalom, Sweden with Hector in giant and Slovakia with Petra Vlhova in women's slalom.
A team event that saw Johannes Strolz treat himself to the third medal of a crazy Olympics, with two golds after the combined feat, and the first five-circle title for Stefan Brennsteiner, Michael Matt (albeit from reserve), Katharina Troops and Katharina Liensberger (with Katharina Huber second reserve), who added this great satisfaction to silver in slalom. “It's a fantastic happy ending - Trouppe told oesv.at - We really fought to make it, there were such strong nations and it was fantastic. A few cents were enough on our side, it was very hard ”.

Christian Mitter, sporting director of the women's sector in the Austrian home, added: “The boys did really well, they did it skiing with quality and a lot of stability. This discipline is very complicated, but with some foundation you can be successful in the long run. And so it was in our case ".
