Austria floats on team competition gold: Slovenia favored but beaten, Germany mock Norway

Ski jumping: Stefan Kraft undoes the Olympic taboo, with him the triumph Hoerl, Huber and Fettner. Silver for the Slovenes, bronze for the Germans with Lindvik and Granerud amari in fourth place.

An Austrian triumph, in the Beijing 2022 team competition that offers a really intense four-way challenge, after a start to the competition that saw the crosswind protagonist (and with Japan and Poland in fact immediately cut off), before they were the champions on the trampoline to exalt themselves. Thus comes the first gold medal in jumping, in these Olympic Games, for the Austria of Manuel Fettner, Jan Hoerl, Daniel Huber and Stefan Kraft, who finally wins a medal with five circles and the most precious metal. The red and white eagles are just over 8 points ahead of the favorite on the eve, Slovenia in the hunt for the trio in this review (after the golds of Bogataj and the mixed race), but which is beaten with Cene and Peter Prevc, Timi Zajc and Lovro Kos of silver. And the bronze ends up around the neck of the Germans, led by Karl Geiger and above all Markus Eisenbichler, with Stephan Leyhe and Constantin Schmid celebrating together with their teammates, mocking the Norway of Marius Lindvik, Granerud, Johansson and Tande by 8 tenths, fourths with many regrets and a last leap "punctured" by the new Olympic champion.
