Persson, Brorsson and sisters Hanna and Elvira Oeberg take Sweden to the roof of Olimpia while Vittozzi, Wierer, Comola and Sanfilippo using only 5 reloads obtain the best Olympic result in the format with the fifth position.

Dorothea Wierer is the fastest on the shooting range on the ground and wins 5 seconds over Brorsson and Hinz; Reztsova uses a reload and finds himself at 14 seconds while Alimbekava comes back strong and with a 5/5 he is sixth at 22.7 ahead of Tiril Eckhoff who has to use two reloads. In the second lap of the leg, Reztsova quickly returned to Sweden and Germany while Eckhoff tried to force to recover precious seconds after easily skipping Alimbekava. At the finish line Sweden (0 + 6) precedes Russia, silver medalist, (1 + 7) by 12.0 and Germany (0+) at 37.4. Norway (2 + 8) is fourth at 50.7, Italy (0 + 5) fifth at 1.33.1 with the satisfaction of not using top-ups. France (2 + 10) sixth at 2.13.0
