The best made in Italy technology at the service of the Olympics. The preparation of the slopes for the ski competitions at the Beijing Olympic Games which will be held from Friday 4 to Sunday 20 February will in fact be entirely entrusted to the Prinoth snow groomers. For the South Tyrolean company that is part of the HTI group, this is an important confirmation of its international value. For years, its vehicles have been chosen to best prepare the competition grounds for the most prestigious world sporting events: from the Norwegian Olympic tracks in Lillehammer (1994) to the Japanese ones in Nagano (1998), from the Italian ones in Turin (2006) to those of Russians in Sochi (2014), without forgetting the performances at the Alpine Skiing World Championships in Åre and Cortina, just last year, and at the Nordic Skiing World Championships in Anterselva and Seefeld.
For the preparation of the alpine ski slopes of the National Alpine Ski Center in Xiaohaituo, about 74 kilometers north-west of the capital Beijing, for the slopes of Genting where the Freestyle competitions will be staged, of Aoti where the Nordic disciplines will be staged and in Beijing, where the main Big Air event is scheduled, Prinoth has made available over 50 snow groomers, thus having the exclusive right to prepare the slopes on which the champions of the various disciplines will compete. In action, therefore, not only the Leitwolf snow groomer, the most powerful machine on the market, but also the Bison snow groomer, ideal for creating snow parks and the Husky for setting up Nordic skiing events. But the company from Vipiteno in China will not be represented only by its fleet of machines. To accompany the vehicles on the Olympic tracks there will also be a fundamental technological support consisting of an innovative software that allows the measurement of the snow depth and the management of the fleet.
