The last year has been very difficult, mentally and in terms of the pressure that I put on my shoulders. Today tactically and technically I was the best Pellegrino and I'm really happy. I'm a winner, so as soon as the excitement passed I started thinking how I could beat Klaebo, because today he wasn't unbeatable. It wasn't the best of times I've met him even though he's the best ever.
I am extremely satisfied, I feel an incredible sense of fulfillment. Like four years ago, very few believed it and even now, for how the season had started. Thanks also to my way of working, but largely thanks to the people who live and work with me, starting with my wife Greta (Laurent, ed), passing through the technicians who followed us this summer, my partner of training sessions De Fabiani, the skiman and my physiotherapist. I still think that the experience with the Russians was, at a professional level, the most interesting of my career and it is a totally different approach and one that I regret not having tried before.
I appreciated my work of 2014-2018 in which I gave a lot, but it was no longer possible to continue like this because I had given a lot and we reset everything by changing some things. Plan A did not go well and having to find myself after the third year to start again was not easy, but I had the luck and the intelligence to choose well the hands in which to put myself to show my best ".
