Like Laura Dahlmeier in PyeongChang, Mars Roeiseland, after winning the Sprint, gets the Gold in the Pursuit around her neck while Dorothea Wierer, second for three quarters of the race, pays too much error on her feet.

Weather conditions have changed in Zhangjiakou. It snows, temperatures are around -10 degrees and there is wind that comes and goes. The scenario is completely different to that encountered in the Sprint.
Ready, go and the first four of the Sprint start at the same pace while the Russian Reztsova tries the comeback, sixth Friday who at the start was 1.07.0 late and filed 10 in the first lap. Roeiseland is not wrong at the first polygon and Elvira Oeberg and Wierer are not wrong, leaving the session with the same gap at the start: 32 and 37 seconds. The Austrian Hauser is at 55 seconds, Tandrevold at 1.03.5 while two errors cut out the Russian Reztsova.
The two pursuers lose 6-7 seconds from the Sprint winner who is still not wrong like Dorothea Wierer while Elvira Oeberg pays an error, The blue leaves the polygon 38.7 late from Roeiseland. Elivira is at 1.04.3, Hauser at 1.13.9, Tandrevold at 1.19.6.
Without reference points, the blue loses from Roeiseland in the third lap and comes to the session standing with a gap of 54.5; the Norwegian misses the first target while Dorothea and Elvira Oeberg are two mistakes. All are wrong and Roeiseland has a 1.25.1 advantage over Wierer, 1.41.0 over Hauser and Tandrevold. Tiril Eckhoff, two errors in the first three sessions, is fifth at 1.53.6 with Elvira Oeberg, Persson and Dzhima.
Mars Roieseland makes no mistake in the last session and continues its triumphal march to repeat the back-to-back Sprint - Pursuit that Laura Dahlmeier succeeded four years ago. An error by Wierer arrives and for the medal they find themselves fighting Elvira Oeberg who comes out at 1.58.8, Tandrevold at 2.01.2, Wierer at 2.09.9 and Sola at 2.18.3.
Marte Roeiseland (0-0-1-0) continues to make history with the fourth medal out of four races of this Olympics and at the finish line precedes Elvira Oeberg (0-1-2-0) by an enormity, 1.36.5. The Bronze medal goes to Tiril Eckhoff (1-1-0-1) at 1.48.7 while the Belarusian Sola (1-1-1-0) is fourth at 1.58.9, fifth Persson (0-0-1- 1) at 2.07.2 while Dorothea Wierer (0-0-2-1) yields in the last lap, sixth at 2.09.1.
