The first 6 titles are assigned, Italy dreams with Lollobrigida and the mixed biathlon relay: the program for 5 February

The Beijing 2022 Olympic Games begin in earnest: a Saturday at the start in the middle of the night with the third round of the men's downhill, then a very rich Italian morning from the bottom to the ice disciplines, with speed skating and short track where the Azzurri can do very well.

Here are the medals, six appointments to assign the first Olympic titles of these Beijing 2022 Games, for a Saturday 5 February with so much awaited blue. Let's see in detail all the challenges, starting from the qualifications of the women's slopestyle snowboard, from 3.45 am Italian, followed by the third and final test of the men's downhill (start at 4.00), which will then be staged on Sunday. From 7.05 onwards there will be no more breath: the Italian mixed doubles of curling, undefeated so far, will return to the ice to challenge Australia with all the favors of the prediction for Constantini-Mosaner (who will then close the day at 13.05 in comparison with Great Britain). At 7.20 the Olympics of the special jump begins, with the men's qualification from Normal Hill, then at 8.45 here is the first medal race. In Zhangjiakou, Therese Johaug will go in search of the first individual Olympic title (with Italy trying to carve out a space in front of it) starting as the favorite in the skiathlon, then at 9.30 everyone at the Oval for speed skating, with 3000 female mt that see Francesca Lollobrigida among the candidates for the podium. The third title will come from biathlon: at 10.00 the mixed relay begins, with Vittozzi-Wierer-Bormolini-Hofer defending the double Olympic bronze won in 2014 and 2018, but Norway and France are the favorites above all. And then from 11.00 the humps for the men's sector, with the last qualifying phase and from 12.30 the final. At 11.45 am, the competition for the women's special jump title will start, without Marita Kramer positive at Covid (even before leaving for Beijing) and with a very open challenge. And then the short track show, from 12.00 with the women's 500 heats in which Arianna Fontana will later defend her title, the men's 1000 and above all the final of the mixed relay, with the last act scheduled at 14.25. In Yanqing, the first part of the competition for the men's single of the toboggan will be held, with the first run scheduled from 12.10 and the second from 13.50 (the grand finale on Sunday), with Germans and Austrians to face off against Dominik Fischnaller, who aims straight for the medal albeit with a lot of concern linked to cousin Kevin's positivity to Covid, which obviously cannot be there. Four more games of the women's ice hockey tournament and night will fall on Beijing. A binge that can be followed in its entirety with the Discovery + applications and on the linear channels of Eurosport (210 and 211 of the Sky bouquet), as well as on Rai 2 from night until 11 in the morning, when the transmission of the main Olympic events will continue. on Rai Sport.
