Seven blue podiums on the first day in Trentino, the final act of the World Cup season: Canclini and Martini second in the senior sprints.

Seven podiums and one success for Italy arrive in the opening of the ski mountaineering World Cup finals, scheduled until Sunday on the snows of Madonna di Campiglio.
The sprint races immediately saw, in the female under 20 category, Samantha Bertolina and Lisa Moreschini respectively close in second and third place, preceded only by the Swiss Caroline Ulrich. Swiss success also in the men's field where Matteo Favre beat the blue Rocco Baldini and teammate Tobias Donnet.
In the under 23 category here is the triumph of Giulia Murada, with the French Manon Anselmet and Marie Pollet-Villard behind her, while Giovanni Rossi finished second in the men's final behind the Swiss Arno Lietha, third place for the Spanish Pau Coll Turrà. Finally, in the senior category, the most awaited, Nicolò Ernesto Canclini got a good second place behind the Swiss Arno Lietha and in front of the French Thibault Anselmet, with Mara Martini second among the women, surpassed by the Slovakian Marianna Jagertnikova, third the Swiss Marianne Fatton.
The vertical race is scheduled for Friday 26 March, closing on Sunday 28 with the individual races.
