In La Massana Eydallin, Murada, Guichardaz and Bertolina still win; the overall balance of the Italian expedition is a scream.

The World Championships in La Massana (Andorra) ended in a triumphant way for the Italy of ski mountaineering, with individual tests in the senior, under 23, under 20 and under 18 categories for the grand finale seasoned by four other world titles at home blue.
Eleven overall podiums were collected by the team led by Stefano Bendetti on the last day, even a historic en plein arrived in the men's senior category, where Matteo Eydallin took away the satisfaction of preceding Robert Antonioli and Davide Magnini on the finish line. A bronze came from the women's test, where Alba De Silvestro finished third, behind the French Axelle Gachet-Moelle and the Swedish Tove Alexandersson. In the under 23 category Giulia Murada and Giorgia Felicetti lined up the competition among women, with the French Marie Pollet-Villard bronze, while the Aosta Valley Sebastian Guichardaz reached the finish line with his arms raised among the men, preceding the German David Sambale and the Swiss Julien Ancay.
In the under 20 category Matteo Sostizzo collected the male bronze medal, behind the Austrian Paul Verbnjak and the Swiss Leo Besson, among the women Samantha Bertolina won the gold in front of Lisa Moraschini and the Swiss Caroline Ulrich. Finally, among the under 18s, Manuela Pedrana came third behind the German Antonia Niedermaier and the French Louise Trincaz. The final balance of the world championship is thus archived for Italy with as many as 26 medals divided between the four categories, which confirms the Italian movement among the most important on the international scene.
