A new gondola to serve the slopes of the Presena glacier

According to the company is planning Carousel-Tonale, the heart of the Consorzio Adamello Ski, by 2014 it may be possible to reach the 3000 meters of Presena step through a new gondola. A ski lift and summer will allow hikers to diaccedere easier climbing and hiking routes of the Adamello Group.
"We are working to finalize the last details - says the president Giacinto Delpero to the newspaper Brescia Oggi - and by the end of the year we hope to prepare the detailed design, to take off in the next summer the first construction work: the projects of the foundation of the piers that will support the cables and the construction of the station of departure and arrival. "
To replace the three old plants in almost thirty years have brought dozens if not hundreds of thousands of skiers, the company chose the eight-seater gondola monocable: a decision that will greatly increase the steps and to reduce considerably the time. The start up will be Paradise, the spot from which moves the current structure of two-seater. An intermediate station will be built at the foot of the slopes of the glacier, and from there continue up to the cabins Presena step: in winter there will then be tracked longer than a few hundred meters for skiers, in summer, as mentioned, a much shorter trek for hikers, saving them the long and challenging ascent of the glacier. "Top - adds Delpero - everyone can enjoy a breathtaking view that encompasses the mountains to 360 degrees half of the Alps."

To realize the project will need at least 14 million euros, partly supported by the company Carousel, in part by the Province of Trento and by individuals. The final design should be ready within a few months, the work starting in summer 2012 and be completed by the beginning of the 2013/2014 ski season.
