This weekend, on 25 and 26 March, in Aprica (SO) was held "The Splash Ride", the event which saw a hundred people jump from the ski slopes to a tub full of 'water skiing, snowboards, toboggans and other unlikely means such as a bed, a van, or even a helicopter.

The challenge of "The Splash Ride" was nell''attraversare a full tub of 'long water 15 meters placed at the end of a descent, falling in style or with half of its construction. A jury voted the best performance for each mode, with prizes for the winners from sponsors and from locations such as sports equipment, seasonal ski pass for the ski resort of Aprica.
During the weekend of the championships Snow Volleyball Italy were also held, where volleyball players were challenged to enter the Italian end of next week. This new extreme sport, officially recognized in 2016 by the CEV (European Federation of Volleyball), is enjoying increasing success and now in its third Italian edition will have a European Championship for the second consecutive year.
A well-equipped sponsor village and a sound system with DJ mounted on a snowmobile have helped to create an atmosphere of sport and celebration that has attracted hundreds of people of all ages between participants and the public, from the town but also from the valleys and the neighboring plain, thanks to packages created by the organizers: the SnowWeek and World Winter Week team, with the Aprica ski pass holder, the City of Aprica and many local reality.
The weekend was also dotted with après-ski and party in different local Aprica, with a grand finale on notes of Eiffel 65, pair of DJs known on the scene now for over 20 years.
