Arabba in 1000 at the start of the 18th Sella Ronda Ski Marathon

The Italian couples have the greatest number of people, but also France, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Denmark, United States, Great Britain, Poland, Sweden, Slovakia and the Netherlands are well represented. 

The Sella Ronda Ski Marathon has no equal, no exaggeration to say that in the world of winter skins there is no event so special and so successful. The men couples who will play the final victory are Tadei Pivk-Dennis Brunod, Alessandro Follador-Daniele Pedrini, Nejc Kuhar-Filippo Beccari and Marco Facchinelli-Thomas Trettel. Among the possible placements in the top of the standings David also Pierantoni paired with Lois Craffonara, Thomas Martini and Graziano Boscacci. Between the pairs to be monitored Fabio Bazzana Moletto-Marco, Mario Scanu-Martin Villa De Javier and Roberto De Simone Lukas Arquin.

In the women's the most successful team for the final victory, is the couple formed by Spain's Mireia Miro' and Bormii skier Francesca Martinelli. The two champions will compete planning to lower the record of the race. The Spanish-Italian couple must guard against attacks by Laura Besseghini and Raffaella Rossi, and Martina Valmassoi paired with Silvia Rocca. Eyes will turn to Annemarie Gross and Tamara Lunger.
