The 60-seater cabrio cable car in Tires, the lift with a panoramic roof terrace that takes tourists to Malga Frommer, has been stopped for a few months. The first trip was inaugurated on 10 February last.

The reason for the stop would concern the changes made on the valley station compared to the original project: there would be irregularities in the volumes. The second project, with the corrections, is now being examined by the competent provincial authorities.
"15 million euros have been invested for the cable car. 150 shareholders have invested, of which 100 are from the Valle di Tires. There are concessions and interest to be paid, but with the lift closed there are no collections" explains Martin Damian , president of Funivie Tires Spa, to the microphones of TGR Bolzano.
"We hope it will be possible to start doing some small work and to be able to reopen the Tires cable car" declares, again to TGR Bolzano, Gernot Psenner, the mayor of Tires who in this period activated a bus to replace it.

Argentera
