8 year old braves vertical kilometer - Chamonix Live Big Ep 7

In this latest episode of Live Big Patrick Sweeney leads his 8 year old son up the notorious vertical kilometer in Chamonix France. The goal is to teach him the lesson of PERSISTENCE. He's tried 10 times int he past and failed. The near vertical route where extreme runner Killian Jornet set the record two years ago starts in the French village of Chamonix and climbs 3,300 feet in just a mile (1km altitude gain in 2km of trail) to the top of the Brevent lift. The finish is classical Chamonix - a world class rock climbing spot, used by parasailing enthusiasts and home to some of the areas most extreme skiing and mountain biking. You'll see not only how this eight year old fares, but also catch some breathtaking scenery of Chamonix and the Sweeney family (including their two very different dogs).
