Skiing La Vallée Blanche, Petit Envers route - Chamonix, France

Video compilation of a day of skiing down La Vallée Blanche, in April 2013. The route starts at 3,840 meters (Aiguille du Midi), followed by the traversing of a ridge downwards to a col. Skiing down the col, you reach the Géant Glacier, which you ski down the rest of the way. Total distance is 24 km. We did a variation of the normal route called "le petit envers", which is shorter by 2 km, but steeper. The weather was fabulous, with overcast lower down in the valley, but the snow conditions were not good. Only about 5 to 10 cm of fresh powder in some areas at the top. Filmed with a GoPro Black Edition @ 720p & 120fps with a polarized filter.
