The historic cableway that from the center of Cortina d'Ampezzo allows you to reach Cima Tofana, the highest peak of the Ampezzo Dolomites, is 50 years old and in view of the World Cup in 2021 is renewed. Today, during the celebrations of the fiftieth anniversary of the cableway, the rendering of the new project was presented.

The Tofana / Freccia nel Cielo cableway at the time of its construction was one of the most innovative and avant-garde plants and finally, thanks to the Cortina alpine skiing world championships, 2021 has the opportunity to once again become the jewel in the crown of the Ampezzan basin.
Tofana Srl has formalized the presentation of the projects signed by the architect. Claudine Holstein, from the G22 Projects studio, on the ascent of the first Cortina-Col Druscié trunk on the occasion of the celebrations of her fiftieth birthday.
A new gondola lift will allow a reduction in waiting times and an increase in transport capacity, parameters that will make the plant a modern structure in step with the current standards of quality and demand from an increasingly heterogeneous and demanding clientele. The event was also an opportunity to present the book: "A family, many businesses, a story - the Queen of the Dolomites Marmolada and the Freccia nel Cielo Tofana". A collection of interesting anecdotes about the cable cars fostered by the Vascellari family, a story of entrepreneurship in the area, which has allowed over time to make known to a wider audience this side of the Dolomites.
