Lagalb, the challenge to join the 8848 Club

To date, Club 8848 has more than 600 members. Whoever completes the challenge is automatically a member of the club for the current season.

Who would want to test themselves and try to join Lagalb Club 8848? The challenge is open to all and those who wish to join the Club will have to make the Lagalp descent eleven times (on skis, snowboards, with telemark or freeride technique) and walk the path between the mountain station and the Piz Lagalb. Everything must be done within a day. At the mountain station of Lagalb you need to buy your own "challenger kit" for the price of 10 Swiss francs. After registration, the personal registration number will be noted on the card to be stamped. After each ascent, the card next to the pyramid can be stamped, while after each descent it is necessary to contact the staff of the plants at the valley station of Lagalb to validate it. The challenge can be completed during the entire winter season and can be undertaken several times. At the end of the season, new members will be officially welcomed into Club 8848 during a ceremony and immortalized on the membership plate.
