A very rich 2021/22 season, despite the difficulties we all know, but that Fisi-Asiva wants to overcome to treat itself to a high-level winter.
This morning, in the wonderful scenery of the Skiway Monte Bianco, in Courmayeur, the new vintage of the Aosta Valley committee chaired by Marco Mosso was officially presented, flanked for the occasion by the mayor of Courmayeur, Roberto Rota, by the FISI representative, Dante Berthod, and by the president of the Aosta Valley Ski Instructors Association, Beppe Cuc.
From the medals of last season (93 among the various disciplines, with 36 golds, 28 silvers and 29 bronzes), to the numbers of the ski clubs (49 associated with Fisi-Asiva), to the 31 technicians present in the national teams up to the 160 races that the committee will propose in 2021/22, the numbers are really important and there is the icing on the cake of the involvement in the great project of the "Speed Opening" of the Zermatt-Cervinia World Cup, presented last Friday and which will be born in two years, with the races of autumn 2023 (preceded, however, by the European Cup in 2022).
Our Fabrizio Malisan reached Marco Mosso at the end of the press conference to talk in detail about how Fisi-Asiva will live in the coming months. “We want to be confident for a winter season that we hope will be regular and full of satisfactions for everyone - the words of the number 1 of the Valle d'Aosta committee - We will have 160 races and numerous international events, but in general a movement in the valley that gives us great energy.
Snowboard cross in Cervinia (where the World Cup will return on December 18-19, ed) is now at home. We strongly believe in promoting the area through the great visibility of these high-level events, and let's not forget ski mountaineering with the Tour du Rutor, valid as a long-distance team world championship ".
