From September 10th in the Upper Engadine, a unique fare formula applies to ski passes in the region: a Snow-Deal for advance ski pass reservations. The lifts of the Upper Engadine thus respond to the trend of online shopping and the need for users to decide how much to spend on the skipass. Prices follow a dynamic rate and start at CHF 45 per day.

Those who practice winter sports want to be able to take advantage of innovative and high quality rates and offers to maximize their benefits. To meet this need, from the winter season 2018/19 the lifts of the Upper Engadine have introduced a dynamic tariff formula.
Instead of, as in the past, requesting the same rate for the whole season for any day, the price of day and multi-day cards varies according to the request of the day of validity. The conventional fixed tariffs for daily and multi-day cards therefore fall. From now on, the user also has the possibility to influence the prices based on the time of booking. This means that those who buy their tickets up to 15 days before their use get discounts on the skipass up to 30%.
Engadine even more attractive thanks to the Snow-DealIn this way, those who book in advance enjoy rates that are even cheaper than in the last winter, even in the higher tariffs on days of greater demand. However, with the new pricing formula, users who buy their pass in high season to use it the same day pay more. The prices of the annual cards remain unchanged compared to last year.
The lifts of the Upper Engadine are convinced that the new dynamic tariff formula meets the user. "The offer aims to reward pre-booked customers and help us make the most of our infrastructure during the season", says Markus Meili, Director of Engadin St. Moritz Mountains AG. "Thanks to the Snow-Deal, prices are reduced by up to 30% for early bookings. We believe that in this way we will achieve an increase in turnout over time, as the offer could in fact also lead to booking more ski days in periods when the demand is lower. Furthermore, experience also teaches us that with the incentive of early booking, the user tends to book for a longer period even in high season ".
Thanks to the ability to book tickets online easily, the user saves time and avoids buying them at the lift desk. "The Engadin becomes even more appealing," says Markus Moser, chairman of the management of Corvatsch AG.
