Historic day for the Carnia Arena International Biathlon Center in Forni Avoltri. For the first time, in fact, the federal center located in Piani di Luzza will open well in advance, thanks to the snow accumulated and preserved using the Snowfarming technique, an innovative system that allows you to store and preserve the snow of the previous season and to use it. at the earliest the following winter.

Great satisfaction for all the components who work constantly at the Carnia Arena (volunteers and members of the ASD Monte Coglians) and from the municipal administration of Forni Avoltri who, working as a team, managed to successfully complete a real experiment. In fact, the sports center is located at only 1050 meters above sea level, and maintaining a fair amount of snow at this altitude, especially in the warmer months, is not easy at all.
Thanks to the preserved snow, a 1300 meter ring has been created which also allows access to the brand new shooting range equipped with electronic templates and 37 pitches. The Carnia Arena is thus ready to host all athletes wishing to train on a snowy background starting tomorrow (Sunday 22 November), clearly in compliance with the requirements related to Covid-19.

Artesina Mondolé Ski
Artesina si trova in Val Maudagna, nel territorio di Frabosa Sottana, ai piedi del Monte Mondolè.
