Another cross-country ski center in the Friulian mountains was heavily damaged by the atmospheric events of 29 October, which were mainly hit in north-eastern Italy.

Next to Carnia Arena in Forni Avoltri, at the Laghetti di Timau slope and at the Sappada ski lifts it is news of these days that also the Tagliamento center in Forni di Sopra was the victim of the interperia, reporting major damage.
The company Sportiva Fornese, manager of the Fund Center of Forni di Sopra, has carried out a survey along the Nordic ski track, finding the serious damage caused by the enlargement of the Tagliamento river following the events of October 29, 2018. The track was very damaged from strong erosions, landslides and fallen trees. Some bridges have been dragged away for hundreds of meters and destroyed by the force of the river.
However, thanks to the collaboration with the Mayor, with the 'Municipal Technical Office of Forni di Sopra and the FVG Region has started the' process for the restoration that will take place in a short time to ensure timely opening for the ski season winter. The recently upgraded artificial snow system has been spared from the fury of the water. As always, the arms of the volunteers will be added to the work of the excavators and tractors, to restore the track that winds through the Friulian Dolomites in the winter.
