A Room with slope - Review of the Hotel "Maison de Neige" Valle d'Aosta

The hotel is built in a military barracks of the beginning of 900 and it still retains the charm of the original stones, in perfect harmony with the natural environment.  The inside was completly renewed with the use of environmentally friendly materials such as wood and stone respecting the style and the warmth of the Alpine passes.

Twelve rooms decorated with period furniture, calls with the names of the highest peaks of the valley, welcome the guests in the warmth and silence of the mountains broken only by the voices of nature.
Two suites of 55 square meters, completely covered in wood Bardage, tanks design and furnishings designed to make the customer feel as if it were his home.

The restaurant on the mezzanine floor with its glazed veranda allows you to enjoy, before the landscape and the starry sky and then the chef and I assure you that both will amaze you.
Often they organize night excursions to the step of the little St. Bernard to observe the sky and drink together a mulled wine and return the Hotel with night skiing, a unique experience of its kind.

During the winter the house offers its guests snowmobiles to reach the property, and once you reach the hotel you are moving on skis or snowshoes.
The majority of hotel guests choose to spend for the first time a week or a long weekend at the Maison to take advantage of the prime location on the ski slopes, but then decided to come back for the unique thrill of living a few days from sunrise to sunset and surrounded by unspoilt nature. It is not unusual to see foxes in the hotel, chamois or roe deer.

The place where there is the Maison de Neige is a strategic area, close to the chairlift "Furclaz" from which you can start skiing in the morning and leave for the first sign of skiing on the slopes jokes, and the return slope in the village No. 7, between pastures and wooden mountain houses, with magnificent views of the Mont Blanc valley and the village of La Thuile.

After a day of sport in the magnificent international area of La Thuile-La Rosiere, La Maison offers you a relaxation area where you will find the Finnish sauna and the low-temperature sauna with color therapy, turkish bath and Jacuzzi.
The chimney fire accompanies the best moments of relaxation in the tavern where you can sip cocktails or sample some of the best distillates of the Aosta Valley.  Still inside the tavern are available a big screen and a pool table.
