The link between Livigno and telemark skiing (the old way of skiing, practiced in "free heel") is not born in the last few days, but has its roots in the passion of a group of friends who , in April 1995 gave rise to what for many years was La Skieda, an international exhibition of telemark somewhere between sport, conviviality and culture, and has earned the participation of many fans and supporters from all over the world, and has become a cult event and a source of pride for the Telemark Club Livigno.

The Skieda over the years has turned into a Free Heel Festival, retaining the character of events leading to shared themes, techniques and knowledge of the world of telemark skiing in Livigno and the presence of opinion leaders and personalities of international stature.
This year the Free Heel Festival celebrates its 19th edition on April 6 to 13, and, as usual, chose a theme from which to draw inspiration for his performance. The 2013 is the Recycling year, defined as recovery and recycling of the themes that have the event in the last seven editions and as incipit for those changes for the twentieth edition, that of 2014, where there will be the return of La Skieda.
In April 1200 telemarkers are expected to come to Livigno from all over the world, and they will be able to live a free heel week reliving the themes of the fabulous seventies, Made in Italy, the Four Elements, Music, Games and Women.

Campitello Matese, sciare in Molise a due ore da Roma
