As we announced two years ago, the sports complex on the roof of the Amager Bakke, the new Copenhagen incinerator, is ready for the inauguration.

If the waste-to-energy plant, which has been in testing since the spring of 2017, has some technical problems and the operations have been suspended for a week, the works for the sports center will continue as planned, where it will be possible to ski on a slope in plastic development of about 500 meters. The ski slope will connect different difficulty stretches starting from almost 200 meters of beaten with 45% slopes from the top, a small portion of a black one. To go up in the easiest stretches of ski lifts while to reach the top you can use a lift overlooking the operations of the plant: at the top a lookout over the city and a bar and down the safety guaranteed by networks like in the World Cup.
The complex also offers a wall for sport climbing along the 85 meters of the facade, green paths and picnic areas.
From what has been leaked in the last months the plant can serve up to a maximum of 200 skiers at a time, while the price per hour of ski pass should be around 70 crowns, about 9.50 euros.
