With the new Couis cable car a star will be born on the peaks of Pila

The project, signed by the De Carlo-Gualla architecture studio, was the winner of an ideas competition: to carry it out, the approximately 25 million euros that the Valle Council allocated to Pila Spa a month ago will be used.

For more than 40 years the cable cars of Pila have welcomed people from all over the world, with the aim of taking them to the top, freeing them in nature: they have made hundreds of trips. The new ski lift in the Pila area will radically change the usability of the mountain resort and will make one of the most iconic viewpoints of the Aosta Valley accessible to all: the summit of Couis 1 at 2730 meters above sea level, from which it is possible to admire the peaks of some of the most famous mountains in the world such as Mont Blanc, Cervino, Grivola, Gran Paradiso and many others. The new cable cars and stations are an example of avant-garde architecture and engineering that aims to amaze visitors with a breathtaking view of the mountains over 4,000 meters but also through the use of innovative materials and technologies and current and an incredibly innovative design for a high altitude structure. The winning project was carried out by the De Carlo - Gualla architecture studio.

Argentera

Argentera
