The Resort in the Austrian Tyrol in Sölden announced the opening of the ski season on Saturday 9th September.

After a summer in the hottest of the last century, the opening of a ski area just a few steps from Italy is really good news for all enthusiasts. Last weekend the perturbation that has brought fresh snow to all the Alps has hit the Austrian slopes and the slopes of the Rettenbach glacier. A second wave of snowfall is scheduled this weekend. Solden has also recently invested in a Snowfactory that will allow it to produce snow even at high temperatures. The two trunks of the Sölden cable car will be open from 8 am to 3 pm every day of the week, waiting for the opening event of the FIS World Cup, which is set for next 28 and 29 October.

Campitello Matese, sciare in Molise a due ore da Roma
