Skiing in May. Appointment to the Stubai Glacier

May is one of the best months for skiing in the Spring of Stubai. sounds like a joke, but the closure of most ski areas in the Stubai Valley, just over the border Brenner, this is the time most beautiful of the season. Thanks to the largest skiable glacier in Austria, in fact, here you can ski until June. In May, thanks to high altitude, the snow stays in good condition and the days are long, warm temperatures, sun tans than the sea.

The Stubai glacier offers 110 kilometers of pistes from an altitude of 3333 meters to 1750. In this month of May almost all still very snowy slopes are open, including the long descent of Wildgrube. The number of huts on the slopes all have large terraces ideal for those who want to go home with un'abbronzaura enviable snow Spring, the famous 'um' is an invitation to skiing.
In the afternoon most Visitors can indulge in the Stubai take a jog or a bike ride on the flowering meadows of the valley. Or for a ride in Innsbruck, reachable from Neustift, the largest village in the valley, by tram.

And for those wishing to visit the valley during the summer, we report that 26 to 29 July you can attend a course of three days very special. Yoga is practiced Grawa near the waterfall, on a viewing platform at 3000 m suspended between rocks and eternal ice and in the woods and pastures of the valley. The internship will be led by Sherry Kranabitter, Canadian mountain guide who has moved out of love in the Stubai Valley, and Gotthard Obholzer, a sculptor in his lab has installed a yoga studio in Neustift.

Argentera

Argentera
