Stubai Glacier: Big Lines at Apperer Pfaff

My favorite line of the winter. Just one week after hitting the Northface of the Weissespitze in Kaunertal we headed to Stubai Glacier to Biwak for three days in our fancy Carinthia and Ferrino sleeping bags and try the big AK-like lines above the Fernauferner. We did the small Pfaff on the first day in a bit of cloud cover but managed to do the big one on day two in perfect bluebird. Conditions were extraordinary considering it was already May.
