Terminillo (Rieti) la montagna
A dream come true. The tourism revitalization project at Terminillo has been approved.

After 12 years from the presentation of the first development project of the Terminillo ski area, the Region gives the green light to TSM2 (Terminillo Stazione Montana 2).
“With the positive opinion of the Environmental Impact Assessment for the TSM2 project, a new season is finally opening for Terminillo and for the operators who have continued to keep our mountains alive in recent years. Thanks to all our politicians and administrators who in recent years, often accompanied by incredible skepticism if not ostracism, have continued to commit themselves to a fundamental project for the relaunch not only of Terminillo but also of the entire Rieti area. A special thanks to the deputy Fabio Melilli and to the regional councilor Fabio Refrigeri ”is the comment of the PD of the City of Rieti.
In the coming months, tenders will start for the renewal of the existing facilities and for all the other works including the ski connection with Leonessa. The project also provides for the upgrading of parking lots and the construction of a modern artificial snow system.
"We had made up our minds to connect the two sides of Terminillo and for this reason we fought hard, with obstinacy and above all we never gave up in these long years: not even when we were alone with the snow groomer in front of the Region, or when we lost , against all, the referendum to leave Lazio, or when we were mocked, denounced and tried (later acquitted) for false testimony of arrogant holders of alleged absolute truths. We have not given up. Today is a holiday, because despite not knowing how many and which prescriptions, the project to connect the two valleys of the mountain of Rome has been given the go-ahead ”said Paolo Trancassini, former mayor of Leonessa on December 31st.
