A cableway that allows you to admire the fantastic view of the French Alps in the open air at over 3000 meters, this is the big news for the winter 2018-2019 of Tignes known resort that is part of the Espace Killy.

The new plant inaugurated last Friday, will allow you to ascend in just 5 minutes the Grand Motte glacier, starting from the 3034 meters of the valley station and reaching up to 3456 meters where the restaurant is located.
The great feature of this cableway is to be equipped with two cabins that allow tourists to access a panoramic terrace located on the roof of the structure, which will give the opportunity to experience a unique experience, that of being able to admire kissed from the sun and rocked by the wind, the highest peaks of the Vanoise natural park.
For security reasons, the panoramic terrace will be closed during the winter months (strong winds and heavy snowfalls would make the tourist trip dangerous) but the new ski lift that has an hourly capacity of 1000 people per hour and that went to replacing the previous one will still be used to allow skiers to climb up the glacier.
The special cabins designed by the Swiss company Garaventa have been designed to allow the ascent of 100 people at a time, while the access to the panoramic terrace is limited to only 20 people. The new cableway is also equipped with exceptional safety systems never before experienced.
But the news for the 2018-2019 season of Tignes did not stop here. Following a three-year investment plan for the development of tourism activity, some upgrading works have been carried out on the starting point of the Val Claret funicular, which has now assumed a decidedly more captivating appearance.
