It will take place March 21 to 23 the Madesimo Freeride Festival, all Italian event dedicated to the world of freeriding. The goal is to bring the public closer to this discipline, offering the opportunity to test all of the ski season '14 / 15 preview and participate in workshops with teachers and guides.

Competitors may then engage in a time trial on the famous Gully and see up close the professionals compete in the competition reserved for them. The heart of the event will test a village where all members can try out the new material in the 2014-2015 season. From here start guides and teachers to classes on topics such as safety, snow science, the technique of skiing off-piste, skiing steep and risk assessment. But transceiver courses, workshops on building freeride, introductory courses to Speedriding and many other activities.
To breathe the air of freeride 24 hours 24 organizers have also decided to offer a series of meetings with big freeride, which will tell you through their adventures. For those who dream do not just want to listen, but also live in person, you can participate in an evening with an overnight stay at the base camp at high altitude, under the supervision of the guides Whiteline.
In addition, during the festival, the town of Madesimo will be the scene for the development of photocontest open to all fans of freeride and mountain, becoming a showcase for the best ten photos that will be exhibited along the pedestrian zone.
Willow Tree Gully ChallengeNella day Saturday, March 22 (subject to change due to weather) will be two competitions on the slopes of the famous Gully, one for professionals and one amateur open to all. In the latter competitors will tackle the gully by timing the descent in complete freedom, as many times as they like. The best time and got a test of orienteering to follow will determine the standings and winner.
Participation in the festival will be subject to the purchase of packages that include lift tickets, participation in all the activities and events of the festival, the opportunity to take part in one of the courses or workshops, sign up for the Willow Gully Challenge a goodie-bag with tribute material provided by sponsors and a package of vouchers and agreements with local businesses.
