It ended last weekend, the first edition of Madesimo Freeride Festival, the event's location in Val Chiavenna entirely dedicated to freeride with physical evidence, an amateur race and a Pro Gully and on the slopes of the legendary courses taught by teachers Ski and Mountain Guides.

The wide membership has shown what many consider a niche phenomenon is instead a large expansion, with more than 300 free-riders from all over Italy and Europe that have invaded the Ski area of ​​Madesimo.
Here are the results of the tender professionals, the Willow Gully cat.PRO Challenge, scheduled for Saturday but, due to the adverse weather conditions, it was necessary to carry out an alternative route away from the wind. Do not underestimate that this new wave of bad weather has in part hindered the development of the festival, but on the other hand gave freeriders 60cm of fresh snow.

At the village at high altitude tests were then present 35 different brands in the industry that gave participants the opportunity to test a preview of the materials of the season 14/15. Over 200 people took part in the course of descent techniques along with the ski instructors of Madesimo, courses splitboard - snowboards that can be semparate two ski ascents to deal with skins - rapprochement Telemark by boys Snowevents, and courses of beacons, STOP, snow science and steep skiing offered by the mountain guides Whithelines.
During the event there were then several moments of leisure and study, such as the construction of tables craft workshop organized by Ettore Barabino, the "movie night" with guests such as Carlalberto Cimenti, Luca Rolli and Luca Pandolfi and the actions of famous athletes and freeride ski steep that are told through their businesses.
