Here we are: the skiing and training activities on the Val Senales glacier began on September 16, 2022. Numerous national and Italian and foreign ski companies have already booked for the next few weeks, including some stars of the circuit.

“We have now established ourselves as a training center,” says Stefan Hütter, marketing director of the Alpin Arena Senales. "There is also a great deal of interest in high-altitude training on the cross-country ski track, which is scheduled to open in early October." «After a winter with little snow and a record summer, we are happy to have been able to start skiing. The conditions this year are not as good as last year, but we hope to get another 10-20 cm of snow in the next few days, which with the snow deposits we created in spring offer a solid bottom. For the moment the glacier is only open in the morning, but as soon as the temperatures allow it, we guarantee that we can ski all day ”, adds Hütter.

In addition to Riccardo Tonetti, skier and member of the Bolzano Guardia di Finanza, snowboard ace Roland Fischnaller will also be an ambassador of the Alpin Arena Senales this season. Soon and once again, both will train on the Val Senales glacier to prepare for the next season. «Here on the glacier I am particularly interested in the Leo Gurschler slope, considered a clone of the Sölden one. The opening of the track is scheduled for October. The slope of the track and their steepness, as well as the icy sections, are ideal for the finishing touches. The training here is tough, but that's a good thing, ”says Tonetti.
